Activ8 wants to celebrate the creativity of mental health service users and survivors by providing a unique opportunity to work together. Service users, friends & relatives of people that have experienced mental health issues have contributed artwork to this exciting project, either as an individual or as a group.
The exhibition shows & expresses an interpretation of journeys through the mental health system, and/or on the theme of 'Hastings and Rother'. Artists have used multi media, poetry and written prose through to photography and beyond to express themselves in this exciting collaboration of artwork, which not only celebrates the artists and their work but world mental health day on the 10th October.
As part of the 3 week exhibition there will be workshops, events and activities that the public can get involved in, from trying out complementary therapies to artist's talks and demonstrations through to family fun days! Events lists will be available from activ8 in Trinity Street.
