I thought I would design this in a sort of question and answer style, feel free to send in more questions to me about Sussex Mad or its creator.

Who created this Sussex Mad thing?

I did! I had worked on a few other mental health sites for other people, but really wanted to create my own mental health site where I could put virtually anything I wanted. Its also fully my responsability, so if I don't update it for a month, its only me I have to blame, but its also only me I have to explain it too. This takes a lot of the presure off and thats something I really need at the moment. I could have got out of the mental health site business completely, but its just something I do enjoy being involved with.

Ok, so who are you?

I am a Man, in my early thirties, an obsessed photographer, a website designer, a worker for mental health charities, a mental health service user sometimes, a trained STR (Support Time Recovery) worker, physically disabled, I am hearing, but can get by in British Sign Language, I am very happily married and have a wonderful daughter, my name is Dean, but to most people on the internet I am Psyonic. Anything else you want to know, just ask!

What on earth is a Psyonic?

I started off as Sonic (as in the blue hedgehog, but I was also really into music) a really long time ago. Some games feature Psionic powers, basically using your mind as a weapon. I decided to kind of combine the two and then add a little psychotic twist and called myself Psyonic.

Is Sussex Mad fully tested and compatible with everything?

No site is perfect, but this one is fully tested with the latest versions I have of Firefox, Internet Explorer and Opera. The top of the page only looks correct at 800x600 or higher, but IS usuable at lower resolutions too. If you switch off Javascript, Images and CSS then the site will of course look a little different! but once again it IS still perfectly usable. One advantage of creating a site 100% from scratch, even hand coding all the HTML, is that its finishes up exactly how you want it. I really have tried to make the site as accessable as possible, if you do have any problems with it, please do tell me and I will try my best to fix it. Fonts are not set sizes, so you can use your standard browser controls to increase or decrease the size without problem.

Do you want any help?

I am always looking for any mental health related articles, news stories, events, views, reports, scandals etc. If you have any interesting mental health news from anywhere in the world that you think the visitors to this site would be interested in, please send it to me so I can add it. I am also looking for other mental health related sites to link to and possible exchange links with. You will of course get full credit for anything you send me, unless you request to remain anonymous.

Why is the site so blue?

I guess it must be just a little depressed!
